Machines & Methods, Inc. ("Machines & Methods," "M&M," "we," "us," or "our") is an independent machine-tool sourcing and application-engineering intermediary based in the Pacific Northwest, United States. We serve aerospace and defense clients nationally.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website at www.machinesandmethods.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It applies to visitors to the Site wherever they are located. Please read this alongside our use of cookies, described in Section 4.

A note on scope. Our Site is an informational website. It does not have contact forms, account sign-ups, logins, e-commerce, payment processing, or file uploads. There is no field on the Site where you type and submit your own information to us. The only personal information we handle is (a) technical and usage data collected automatically through our website platform and its analytics, and (b) information you choose to send us directly by email. Both are described below.

2.1 Information collected automatically (usage and technical data)

Our Site is built and hosted on the Wix platform (Wix.com Ltd.). When you visit, Wix and our built-in Wix analytics automatically collect standard technical and usage information, which may include:

• your IP address and approximate location derived from it (such as country or region);

• your device type, operating system, browser type, and screen settings;

• the pages you view, the links you click, the time and date of your visit, and how long you stay;

• the website or source that referred you to us; and

• similar diagnostic and analytics data recorded through cookies and similar technologies.

We use this information in aggregate to understand how the Site is used and to improve it. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors from it.

2.2 Information you send us by email

Our Site displays the email addresses of members of our team. If you choose to contact us, your email opens in your own email application and you send your message to us directly — the message does not pass through or get stored by the Site itself. When you email us, we receive and process whatever you include, which typically means your name, your email address, and the content of your message. We use this to respond to you and to manage our business relationship with you or your organization.

Sending us an email is entirely voluntary and at your own initiative.

2.3 What we do not collect

Because the Site has no forms or interactive data-entry fields, we do not collect through the Site: names, phone numbers, mailing addresses, payment or financial information, technical drawings or CAD files, or any other information you type into the Site. We do not knowingly collect any special-category or sensitive personal information through the Site.

If we add features in the future that collect information directly (for example, a request-for-quote form), we will update this policy and, where required, put appropriate notices and safeguards in place before those features go live.

We use the information described above to:

• operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;

• measure and understand Site traffic and usage through analytics;

• respond to enquiries and correspondence you send us by email;

• carry on and develop our business relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners; and

Machines & Methods is located in the United States, and our service providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries. If you access the Site from the EEA, the UK, or another region with data-protection laws that differ from those of the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in a country that may not provide the same level of protection as your home jurisdiction. Where such transfers occur, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are applied by our platform and service providers where required by law.

We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. Analytics data is retained in aggregate for as long as it is useful for understanding and improving the Site, in line with our platform's retention settings. Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to manage the relationship and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

We rely on the security measures of our website platform and service providers, together with reasonable organizational safeguards, to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. We honor valid requests as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

9.1 EEA and UK visitors (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure; restrict or object to certain processing; request portability; and, where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time. Our legal bases for processing are our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Site and in running our business, your consent (for non-essential analytics cookies), and compliance with our legal obligations. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

9.2 California visitors (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; request access to and deletion of your personal information; and correct inaccurate personal information. You also have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and to limit the use of sensitive personal information — but this does not apply to us, because we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

9.3 Other U.S. states

Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or sale of personal information. As noted above, we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

9.4 How to exercise your rights

To make a request, email us at kristina@machinesandmethods.com with enough detail for us to locate any relevant information and to verify your identity. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request where the law permits.

Because we collect only limited, largely aggregate information through the Site and do not maintain visitor accounts, in many cases we may not hold information that identifies you individually, and we will tell you if that is the case.

The Site is a business-to-business website intended for a professional audience. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, such as those of partners or manufacturers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the current version on this page. Material changes will be made clear on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
