All models in the VHL series are built with a rigid vertical column and base from Meehanite castings, heavily ribbed for reduced thermal distortion and vibration dampening.
The VHL’s unique design allows the horizontal RAM to access difficult to a reach machining areas. This enables manufacturers to use shorter cutting tools, avoiding problems associated with longer cutting tools. And having both a vertical and a horizontal ram on a large VTL is a critical advantage because the parts don’t have to be moved to another machine, saving time and money by reducing steps in the machining process.
